SIUE Anthropology Honors Day

Honors Day Convocation, an annual celebration hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences to honor the great achievements of our amazing students, was held in-person this year on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in the Meridian Ballroom. We gathered together to recognize and celebrate the hard work of the SIUE Anthropology students.
Below is the list of students and their awards:
- Desiraii Fowler, Dr. Laura McCullough Scholarship (CAS Award)
- Michael Hubach, Katherine Dunham Award in Anthropology
- Hope Krisko and Lydia Wegel, Busey Bank Award in Anthropology
- Cristina Sanchez Amasifuen, Emily Halasey, Marchyl Jones, and Wren Merz, Outstanding Student in Anthropology Award
- Shea Keener, Robin Brown Memorial in Anthropology
- Elizabeth Semande, Mary Warren Bagley Rekas Award in Anthropology
And winners of last year’s Fred Voget Award in History and Theory of Anthropology:
- Kaia Cosgriff
- Paige Scott
And finally, the highest awards from Anthropology go to the most amazing of our amazing senior projects:
- Nicholas Marsh, Fred Voget Outstanding Senior Project, Spring 2022
- Mindy Phillips, Outstanding Anthropology Internship Award, Spring 2022
