The Office of Admissions is hiring students to work on campus in the telecounseling call center. We are looking for outgoing, responsible and dedicated students to share their SIUE experiences with prospective students.
Job Description
Telecounselors are responsible for:
- Initiating calls to prospective, admitted and continuing students
- Providing accurate and personal accounts of SIUE experiences as a student
- Aiding in the admissions and enrollment process
- Keeping students up-to-date on campus and community news, activities and degree programs with the assistance of telecounseling supervisors
Qualifications
Applicants must be:
- Current SIUE students
- Enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours)
- Federal Work Study preferred
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred
Applicants should:
- Show enthusiasm for SIUE
- Have pleasant experiences with SIUE to share with prospective students
- Have strong oral communication and phone skills
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Have high motivational skills
- Be able to find ways to connect with all prospective students and make them feel comfortable enough to ask questions
Hourly rate: $8.25
Hours per week: 8-12
