What can I do with a degree in psychology?
Graduates of the psychology program will be well prepared for a variety of career opportunities in both public and private settings. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates positive career growth for graduates with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Students will also be prepared to pursue graduate education.

Program Format
Courses are taught fully online throughout all SIUE academic terms.
Fall and Spring
- Accelerated eight-week sessions (with the exception of the 16-week PSYC 494 Capstone Seminar in Psychology)
Summer
- Accelerated three-week sessions
- Accelerated five-week sessions
Winter
- Accelerated three-week sessions
Courses are designed to engage students and allow for timely progression through the program. Once admitted, students will develop an individualized course plan with their academic advisor.
The online degree completion option is designed to be completed within 24 months assuming students have an associate degree and choose to study full time. This program allows for affordable completion of a bachelor's degree for students who currently work full time or prefer an online experience. All courses are taught by the same faculty who teach in our on-ground program.
Student Support
Students will have support in various ways to ensure success. Support includes assistance with technical and learning platform issues, writing and APA formats, and textbook/publisher help. Online students will also have access to SIUE support systems, as well as program specific support.
