The instructional technology program offers a 100% online professional development sequence (PDS) in teaching with technology.
Admission and Retention for PDS
The general requirements for admission and retention are the same as the Graduate School (which include an application fee of $40, submission of official transcripts, and a formal application to the Office of Graduate Admissions). Applicants may arrange for an appeal interview with the Admissions Committee if admission is denied.
Program of Study
The teaching with technology PDS offers educators an opportunity to gain hands-on skills in utilizing technology efficiently and effectively in the classroom to enhance student learning. The sequence includes the following three courses:
- IT 561 Designing Digital Materials
- IT 562 Social Media for Teachers
- IT 563 Games and Simulations
Exit Requirements
Students must successfully complete the program of study, with at least a grade of B in each course.
Enrollment in this program does not qualify for federal financial aid.
