As natural resources become more scarce and expensive, sustainability specialist careers are experiencing rapid growth. A post-baccalaureate certificate in integrative studies with a focus in sustainability will provide students with sociology and environmental management training that focuses on sustainability research, planning and leadership skills, environmental regulation requirements, and community-based sustainable management of natural resources. By learning how to apply sustainability concepts, principles and technical approaches to address “green” career needs in a variety of fields, students will be well positioned, upon completing the certificate, to better understand and provide innovative solutions to complex sustainability challenges.
