Extended Chancellor’s Council
The Extended Chancellor’s Council is a group of administrators from across campus who join the Chancellor’s Council on a regular basis to provide input and feedback regarding University-wide issues.

University Quality Council
The University Quality Council was formed in October 2007 to guide and direct SIUE's AQIP process.
The University Quality Council (UQC) is vital to creating and sustaining quality improvement for SIUE. Because planning is an essential element of quality, the UQC was formed to provide ongoing vision, guidance, and support related to issues of quality and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Chancellor, the UQC coordinates the University's accreditation process through the Open Pathway of the Higher Learning Commission.
The principal functions of the University Quality Council are to:
- Communicate all UQC-related activity to campus
- Identify University-wide opportunities for improvement
- Commission teams to address University-wide opportunities for improvement, including Action Project Teams
- Review Key Performance indicators for the University Strategic Plan

University Planning and Budget Council
The University Planning and Budget Council has the responsibility for advising the Chancellor of the university concerning university planning. Its functions include:
- scanning the demographic, social, political, organizational, and technological environments for factors that can have an impact on the functioning and welfare of the university community.
- identifying threats and opportunities.
- addressing the university’s strengths and weaknesses.
- helping to establish the functions of planning, including the identification of the university’s goals and values and its strategic directions and priorities.
- recommending allocation of resources and reallocation of resources, including salaries, consistent with the university’s values, goals, and priorities. Any structures for the periodic review of resources and resource allocation to credit and non-credit producing units shall be approved by the Council.
- advising the Chancellor on all matters relating to planning and maintaining constant contact with and input to the planning process of the university.
