Happy New Year!
Re-entry COVID-19 testing begins tomorrow and runs through January 21. The SIUE community response has been great. Over 2,300 faculty, staff, and students are signed up for appointments already. That is about 35% of our community that we anticipate being tested. Here are some helpful reminders:
- If you have a smart phone, please download the Aura app. That will make the check-in process faster and easier for you to get your results.
- Refrain from eating, drinking, tooth brushing, mouth washing, gum chewing and using tobacco for 30 minutes before submitting your sample.
- If you had problem adding your insurance, please bring your insurance card and the staff will make a copy for the lab to enter it.
- The test location on the Edwardsville campus is in the Student Fitness Center. The test location at School of Dental Medicine is in the Science Building. The test site for East St. Louis Center is the multi-function room in Building D.
If you have not made an appointment yet, the Aura email that arrived in your email box on Monday December 21, 2021 from info@auratracker.org was NOT part of any illegal scam. Please use the links in that email to register for your Aura account. Students, faculty, and staff can access their Aura account using the Aura app, cell phone, or a standard computer browser (Chrome is recommended for best performance). You will be required to set up a password for your Aura account. Aura is not tied to the University e-ID system and the passwords do not have to match. If you did not receive an email or deleted it, please email covidtesting@siue.edu and request to have the email resent.
After creating your Aura account, follow the steps below to complete the registration and sign up for your testing timeslot:
- Log-in and provide demographic information.
- Select Collection Site (SIUE) and date period you want to take the test. There are 7 choices. Select your collection site based on your campus location and time frame for testing.
- Select from list of available timeslots for testing appointment. There are no times available on Monday, January 4.
- Provide health insurance information (if applicable). You will need to click on the edit tab in upper right. If your insurance company does not come up in the dropdown menu after typing it, please email covidtesting@siue.edu with the name of your insurance company and address of the insurance company. You will be required to add beginning and end dates for your insurance. Please add June 30, 2020 – July 1, 2021.
- Please contact support@auratracker.org with any technical issues or questions.
You are required to pre-register and have an appointment to get a mandatory re-entry screening test. Including your insurance information helps to offset SIUE’s costs related to testing.
Additional information about re-entry testing and pre-arrival testing for Housing residents can be found at: https://www.siue.edu/about/announcements/coronavirus/updates-status/update-mandatory-testing.shtml
Students, faculty, and staff play a collective role in campus health and safety. Thank you for your ongoing efforts to keep our campus safe.
