April 29, 2022
It is a special season at SIUE. This weekend brings the first of our spring 2022 commencement ceremonies. On Saturday, April 30, we will honor our School of Pharmacy graduates. All other graduates will be honored Friday-Saturday May 6-7. Masks are optional at commencement, but I ask that you please be kind and respectful as people make personal decisions regarding mask wearing.
During finals week, Monday-Thursday, May 2-5, unvaccinated faculty and staff are still required to test. COVID Testing hours will be:
- 12-6 p.m. on the Edwardsville campus
- 12-1 p.m. in Alton and
- 12-1 p.m. (Tuesday only) on the East St. Louis campus
Testing is open to anyone. Appointments are not required.
The summer term begins Monday, May 9. Face masks remain optional in most University spaces. Faculty of record will continue to determine mask wearing requirements in their instructional space. Our face mask guidelines are posted on siue.edu/coronavirus.
I will continue to keep the campus community informed of any key COVID-related updates.
Respectfully,
James T. Minor, PhD
Chancellor
