Dear Campus Community,
Allergy, cold and flu seasons are upon us, as we continue to deal with the challenges of COVID-19. Please remember to conduct a daily wellness self-check before coming to campus. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. Do not come to campus. If you are under quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19, do not leave it early.
A critical step toward remaining safe and well, is to consider becoming fully vaccinated from COVID-19. To date, 80% of our University population, including individuals from the Alton, East St. Louis and Edwardsville, campuses are fully vaccinated.
We hope to continue to see that percentage increase for the health and safety of all. For your convenience, the next on-campus vaccine clinic will take place on Friday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Student Fitness Center on the Edwardsville campus. Visit this link to make an appointment: https://events.juvare.com/IL-IDPH/esxlm/.
During that clinic, eligible individuals may receive a Pfizer Booster shot. Click here to review eligibility requirements. Additionally, those interested in receiving their first or second dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine, are welcome to make an appointment.
Keep in mind, there are ample off-campus opportunities to receive a COVID vaccine. A detailed list of local pharmacy locations offering the vaccine can be found by clicking this link.
The COVID-19 Dashboard is your one-stop shop for campus wide COVID-19 data points. The digital resource tracks our overall vaccination rate, and positivity rates related to our required weekly testing protocol. This week, 1,802 individuals were tested, resulting in 9 positive tests and a positivity rate of .50%.
Sincerely,
Randy Pembrook, Chancellor

Jessica Harris, Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
