Dear Campus Community,
As was highlighted in Tuesday’s University Address, SIUE has remained one of the safest campuses in Illinois amid the pandemic with an increasing vaccination rate across our campuses, and an average weekly testing positivity rate of less than 1%. Thank you for your commitment to health and safety!
Our current overall vaccination rate, including the Alton, East St. Louis and Edwardsville campuses, is just over 79%. This week, 1,926 individuals were tested, resulting in 9 positive tests and a positivity rate of .47%.You can find these data points and more on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
Weekly testing is required for employees and students who are unable or unwilling to receive the vaccine. Testing takes place in the lower level of the Student Success Center. Appointments may be scheduled online.
In addition to COVID-related health guidelines, our SIUE Health Service leaders want to remind you of the importance of getting a flu shot this year. Health Service is hosting multiple clinics for faculty, staff, retirees and students. For a complete list of flu shot clinic dates and locations, visit siue.edu/healthservice.
Please be safe and stay well. Services are available for individuals who seek extra support via SIUE Counseling Services.
Sincerely,
Randy Pembrook, Chancellor
Denise Cobb, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Jessica Harris, Vice Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Rachel Stack, Vice Chancellor for Advancement
Morris Taylor, Vice Chancellor for Administration
