Dear Campus Community,
We appreciate your dedication to the safety and well-being of yourself and those around you as we work together to fulfill the University’s mission.
The University’s COVID-19-related protocols and policies are proving effective, with strengthened support for vaccination, weekly testing and mask wearing as mandated via the Governor’s recent Executive Order (EO).
Important Policies & Guidelines
- Face Masks and Distancing Guidelines
- Please note a few updates to these guidelines to comply with the EO, including, but not limited to, mask wearing in the Student Fitness Center.
- University-related and Employee Travel Guidelines
- Event Safety Guidelines
Vaccine Appointments Available
Please take advantage of the many available opportunities to become fully vaccinated. Our next on-campus clinic, offering the Pfizer vaccine, will be held Thursday, Sept. 9. Schedule your appointment here. Individuals may also find a nearby appointment at vaccines.gov.
Weekly Testing Required
Remember, employees and students who are unable or unwilling to receive the vaccine must participate in the mandatory weekly testing protocol. Schedule your appointment online.
Students enrolled in fully online coursework and employees with approved 100% remote work agreements are excluded from the vaccine requirement. BUT, if you plan to be on campus at any time (i.e., living on campus, attending a meeting, using campus facilities or services, etc.) you must participate in testing.
Individuals who do not comply with these requirements will face disciplinary action.
To upload evidence demonstrating full COVID-19 vaccination status, and gain exemption approval, please complete this form. FAQ’s related to this process are available at siue.edu/coronavirus.
Track University Testing Data
You can track daily updates of campus testing results and trends via the COVID-19 Dashboard. This week, 1,827 individuals were tested, resulting in 11 positive tests and a positivity rate of .60%.
Thank you for your attention to these important protocols and policies developed to keep us safely together.
