Student Testing Compliance
Students without university-verified proof of vaccination on file must complete a weekly mandatory COVID test on campus to remain in compliance with SIUE policy.
This requirement applies to all students who will be living, learning, or engaging in activities on campus. While we encourage all students to submit proof of vaccination, fully online students completing coursework remotely are exempt from the requirement.
Compliance Options

- Submit your Proof of Full Vaccination Status (booster information not currently required)
- Submission of booster is NOT required at this time
- Continue weekly testing until your exemption is approved by Health Service
- Exemptions will not be approved until 2 weeks after your last dose

COVID Testing Holds and Process
A series of holds/indicators has been added to CougarNet to assist students in better understanding their standing in the COVID Testing non-compliance process. This hold is informational and does not prevent you from conducting university business.
Students required to participate in weekly COVID testing will see a hold on their account that indicates that status. Individuals who need to test will have a hold (labeled DT) that indicates “Testing Required.” Students who fail to comply with the COVID testing requirement will be able to view their status by clicking on the hold indicator.
