P1:  Every being is either dependent or self-existent.

 

P2:  Not every being is dependent.

Teleological Argument

 

P1:  A found watch has many part that work together to produce certain effects.

 

P2:  The best available explanation of this is that the watch had a designer.

 

C1:  So the watch had a designer.

 

P3:  The universe is like a found watch.

 

C2:  So the universe had a designer, and that is God.
