The newest outlet for Harry Potter immersion is coming in the form of a theme park in Orlando, Florida. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in the spring of 2010 in Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure. The park will enable visitors to make Harry Potter's journey their own, experiencing Harry's world in a way never possible before.

The Intercollegiate Quidditch Association brings Harry Potter's favorite wizarding sport to the muggle World. Started at Middlebury in 2005 as an intermural, the association now includes over 200 institutions from eight countries. The association sponsors matches between teams and holds an annual Quidditch World Cup.

The Harry Potter Musical

Harry Potter fans have taken the Harry Potter story to the next level and with great success. Full length A Very Potter Musical was created by seven Harry Potter fans from University of Michigan and has rapidly gained popularity since its online posting in early 2009. Today the online sensation is still enjoyed via YouTube by fans around the world, and a separate soundtrack is available free on the cast's website.

Wizard Rock or "Wrock" is an increasingly popular way for fans to express their passion for Harry Potter. This element of Harry Potter fandom was started in 2000 in Massachussetts by "Harry and the Potters," and today the musical genre includes over 750 bands worldwide. Lyrics are often simple and from the viewpoint of one of the series' characters. The entire world of Harry Potter serves as inspiration for these artists, and their music inspires other fans.
