Randall E. Smith is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1987. He teaches classes in Social Studies Education, the Senior Assignment (Capstone class), and Technology in the Classroom. His main focus is Social Studies Curriculum and the integration of technology into the curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate level. He has been involved in Social Studies Education, technology, and partnership activities throughout Illinois and Missouri.
