1    Moenia tanta erant ut hostes amitterent spem.
    The walls were so great that the enemies lost hope.

2    Tam fortis miles erat ut pugnaret hostes solus.
    The soldier was so brave that he fought the enemies alone.

3    Tam similis fratri erat ut omnes putent[sic] putarent eos esse geminos.
    He was so similar to his brother that all thought them to be twins.

4    Tam sapiens erat pater ut omnes filii ei audirent.
The father was so wise that all his sons listened to him.

5    Pugnemus ita acriter ut nostri hostes discedant.
Let us fight so bitterly that our enemies depart.
