This first volume is devoted to Nigeria partly because the bulk of the articles that we received came from Nigeria. Besides, we found it appropriate to celebrate the birth of this e-journal with a focus on Nigeria since Nigeria is the nation that boasts of being the “deep reservoir” of the Black world, holding the largest population of the Black race within its geographical confines. We hope from now on the foci will spread and touch on pertinent issues that are incidental to Africa and the Diaspora.
