GRADING SCALE

Grading Scale: 90%=A; 80%=B; 70%=C; 60%=D; below 60% is failing

Tests and Quizzes       250 points

Projects                       100 points

Exercises                     36 points

Total                            386 points

(These point totals are subject to change based upon additional assignments and/or adjustments made to exam and quiz points. Blackboard will always have the correct total points for the course.)

Examinations and Quizzes: Examination and quiz questions will be taken from lectures (which may cover material not in the text), assigned readings, and computer laboratory assignments.

·         Examination questions on concepts and Office applications generally will be multiple choice, and/or matching type questions.

·         Examination questions on computer skills will require you to use the computer during the examination to perform tasks like those you practice in class and for assignments. An assignment box in Blackboard will be used to submit these ‘hands-on’ questions. The grade for that portion will be shown in order for you to see my comments,  but will be placed into the exam so the total points for the exam will include the grade for the hands-on portion.

·         ALL examinations will be proctored, administered in the classroom and will be password protected. The password is NOT to be given to a classmate that is not in the classroom via text message, voice communication or email. Violation of this policy will cause you to fail this exam. Any students found attempting the exam that are not in the classroom will immediately fail the exam, will be considered to be cheating and will be reported under the Plagiarism policy.
