Dr. Jianwei Huang, P.E., Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) was a senior structural engineer in a Florida consulting firm prior to coming to SIUE. Dr. Huang has extensive experience in bridge design and load rating, development of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites, and the application of FRPs to civil engineering structures. In past years, he has worked on numerous bridge load rating and bridge rehabilitation projects, and has been heavily involved in the development of State Bridge Design and Evaluation Manual and State Bridge Load Rating Specifications. He serves as peer reviewer for several worldwide reputed Journals, such as ASCE J. Composites for Construction, ACI Structural J., ACI Materials J., Engineering Structures.
