Married!
Welcome to our virtual wedding album! Dr. Alice Hall Petry and I were married on August 30, 1997 in South Congregational Church in East Hartford,
Connecticut. This church has a beautiful stained-glass window that was made by Alice's sister in law, Linda. Here is a larger version of the photo that appears above. It may take a little longer to load, but we think it is worth it! Our best man was my dad, and our maid of honor was my daughter. Talk about an intergenerational wedding! Here is a picture of the wedding party, taken outside the church after the wedding. Here is another picture of the wedding party, taken inside. We were married by Rev. Henry Milland, who appears with the wedding party in this photo. Here is a closeup of the happy couple. And here is a picture of Alice with her sister Jean and her brother Jim. After the wedding, a wedding banquet was held at the Mill on the River restaurant in South Windsor, Connecticut. This was a beautiful, romantic place to celebrate the start of our married life.
