Andris Credits

This reconstruction of the ANDRIS past is based in part on the recollections of my mother, Ella Lorene Sullivan Andris. In fact, any story with color or human interest has probably been preserved in some form by her. Next, since my brohter, Tom Andris, spend nearly a year in the late 1960's living abroad with his Binchois relatives, much original information on the Andris, Lebrun, Dorval, Rousseau, Sebille, and several other lines of relatives is due to him.

E-mail correspondence with André Darquennes has also been invaluable in clarified many points and extending the Andris history back many generations. Added to that is my continuing correspondence with Jean Jacques Lannois, of Tourfle, France. Email correspondence with Laura Bozzay, a genealogy researcher near St. Louis, has inspired and motivated me to approach this family history in a more professional way, and provided many general details related to that.

Also used were conversations that I had with and material from Julia Bourmourck Staats, a granddaughter of Victorine Dorval and Jules Meunier through their daughter Julia Meunier. Some of her information was based on her sister, Alfreda's recollection. Also, information is provided on Alphonse Andris by his daughter, Marlene Sevilla Andris Sagert.

Later my brother, Tom, sister, Vicki Andris Smith, and I visited Binche in 2000, and met many living relatives. The story is told in this website.
