SIUE Cello Ensemble

SIUE Cello Ensemble

 

A cellos only ensemble which performs original works from a variety of periods and styles.

 

Emphasis will be on increasing ensemble skills and improving intonation.

 

Eligibility

Cello students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 5 or above

 

Students MUST be enrolled with a private teacher from the SIUE Suzuki Program to be eligible for this group.

 

Auditions ARE required for this group

 

Be prepared to play a solo of your choice at the first meeting.

 

Weekly Rehearsals:

Saturdays 9:30 am

Founder’s Hall

 

A complete schedule of rehearsals will be handed out at the first meeting.

 

15 rehearsals per semester.

Concerts:

• 2 concerts per year. One in December and one in April (see our Calendar for details)

 

Cost: $200 per year for students NOT enrolled in the SIUE String Program

$20 non-refundable registration fee

(checks payable to: SIUE)

 

FREE for students enrolled in the SIUE Suzuki Program.
