EYO—Edwardsville Youth Orchestra

Edwardsville Youth Orchestra

A strings only chamber orchestra which performs original works from a variety of periods and styles. Emphasis will be on increasing ensemble skills, improving intonation and orchestra discipline.

 

EXCERPTS FOR AUDITIONS AUGUST 08

 

Eligibility

Violin students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 4 or above

Viola students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 3 or above

Cello students playing level equal to Suzuki Book 3 or above

 

Auditions ARE required for this group

 

Weekly Rehearsals:

Saturdays from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Founder’s Hall

 

A complete schedule of rehearsals will be handed out at the first meeting.

 

15 rehearsals per semester.

Concerts:

• 2 concerts per year. One in December and one in April (see our Calendar for details)

 

Cost: $ 200 per year for students NOT enrolled in the SIUE String Program

$20 non-refundable registration fee

(checks payable to: SIUE)

 

FREE for students enrolled in the SIUE Suzuki Strings Program
