Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) (January - September 2013) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Information Technology Services.  Provided DBA duties for Oracle 10g and 11g databases in a LINUX environment.

Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) (August 1995-December 1995) at Litton PRC Inc., database administrator for an Oracle 7 database in a SUN UNIX environment during a sabbatical leave from the university.  The database supported Xerox's In Concert work flow management software for a contract project at McDonnell-Douglas Corporation in St. LouisMissouri.

Partner, Family Business (March 1980-July 1982) in service sector business in automotive repair.

U.S. Army Officer (active duty, regular Army, May 1973-February 1980); Last active duty assignment as the officer in charge of aircraft and other maintenance operations for Troop B, 2nd Squadron, 10th Air Cavalry helicopter unit.   U.S. Army Reserve officer (March 1980-November 1997); retired rank: Lieutenant Colonel.  Served in a variety of command and staff positions.  Last United States Army Reserve assignment: Battalion Commander, 1st Battalion, 329th Infantry Regiment (Training).
