   The Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Board is responsible for establishing policies governing the operation of the URCA at SIUE. In addition, the URCA Board reviews and ranks proposals during the selection process each spring for the next URCA Associates.

   The URCA Board is comprised of faculty from across the University. Current members of the board include:

   Retired Board members include the late Annette Baich (Biological Sciences) and Sang-Kim Kim (Philosophy.)

   Additionally, there are times when "adjunct" members are temporarily added to the Board to assist with proposal evaluations. Faculty who have served in this capacity include Paulette Myers (Art and Design), Cindy Schmidt (Nursing), Mike Shaw (Chemistry), Wendy Shaw (College of Arts and Sciences), Scott Smith (Electrical and Computer Engineering), Allison Thomason (Historical Studies), and Susan Wiediger (Chemistry).
