Tuition may be waived for no more than one summer term for a graduate student who has held an appointment as a graduate assistant for the full length of two consecutive semesters, beginning with the fall semester. The waiver must be used in the summer term immediately following the two consecutive semesters of service as a graduate assistant. Such waivers shall be used only when reappointment as a graduate assistant is not possible for the said summer term. The waiver applies only to courses that count toward completion of the current degree program. No overload is allowed. The grant of such a waiver is subject to the approval of the Dean of the Graduate School.
