Clinical interests:

My specialty area is in drug information. I am also interested in the health education of patients with chronic disease, specifically hypertension, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, and osteoporosis.

Teaching responsibilities:

My primary teaching responsibilities include: PHPR710: Statistics & Literature Evaluation, PHPR711: Drug Information, PHEL763: Drug Induced Diseases as well as a few select lectures in various other courses. I also precept students on a Drug Information elective rotation in the final professional year.

Practice site information:

My practice site is as the director of the SIUE Drug Information & Wellness Center (DIWC). We respond to drug information requests from any SIUE School of Pharmacy preceptors and faculty members as well as our contract calls and services. In addition to drug information services we also participate in community wellness initiatives for chronic diseases and provide educational programs including health fairs.

Scholarly interests:

As you can see from my representative publications below, my research interests are broad. Most recently my publications have centered on the scholarship of teaching by describing programs developed and initiated in a new School of Pharmacy and reviews based on drug information requests. I am also interested in wellness initiatives for the outpatient population with chronic diseases.
