My clinical areas of interest are primarily focused in ambulatory/primary care practice environments. Areas of interest include chronic disease state management (diabetes, cardiovascular health, asthma, COPD, smoking cessation) and medication therapy management services.
Practice site information:
My practice site is at the Southern Illinois University Center for Family Medicine in Springfield, IL. The site provides education to medical students, family medicine residents, and a number of other health care professional learners about delivering quality health care to the people in the local community and in the greater central Illinois area. Its faculty also consists of a variety of health care practitioners to expose the medical residents to working in an integrated health care team.
My practice-based interests include the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services focused primarily in chronic disease management. Educational-based interests include student professional development and practice-based education.
