University Park is a 330-acre portion of the 2,660 acre campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) that has been designated as a research and technology park. The State of Illinois has invested $3.1 million in University Park, building concrete roads and installing utilities capable of supporting more than 1,000,000 square feet of building space. Approximately 155 acres are fully improved, with street lighting, entry signage, landscaping and buried utilities at the lot line. Utilities include power, water, sewer, telecommunications and cable television at the lot line. The property is carefully covenanted to protect property values. Land is available on a long-term lease basis, so that companies can retain more capital for core businesses.
