How Do I Cite a Book Using Turabian?

Basic Format
  • Author's name. Title of the Book. Place of publication: Name of publisher, Date of publication.

A Book with One Author/Editor

  • Bowler, P.J. The Eclipse of Darwinism. Baltimore: Johns Hopkins University Press, 1983.

A Translated Book with One Author

  • Verneuil, Louis. The Fabulous Life of Sarah Bernhardt. Translated by Ernest Boyd. Westport, CT: Greenwood Press, 1972.

A Book with Two or More Authors/Editor
(NOTE: Only the first author/editor's name should be listed with the last name appearing first for the purpose of alphabetizing on the Bibliography; the other authors will be listed as "first name last name.")
