We Are One Grant!

The MUC is sponsoring 4 grants of $250 each fiscal year (July-June). Preference for grant dollars will be given to programs that have an educational component with an emphasis on developing learning and understanding for issues related to the GLBT community. A review of each grant will be performed by representatives from the University Center, Safe Zone Committee, and Kimmel Student Involvement Center with final approval by the Director of the University Center. SIUE Safe Zone Allies

Safe Zone allies are available for all students, faculty, and staff who have concerns or questions about GLBT issues on campus. ALL our allies believe that students, faculty, and staff at SIUE, regardless of race, sex, religion or sexual orientation, deserve respect.  Please see the list for available faculty,staff, and students on SIUE campus ready, willing and able to help.

Counseling Services

Counseling Services provides free, confidential, individual counseling for students.  Many students dealing with questions or concerns related to sexual orientation or gender identity choose to seek counseling as a safe place for discussion.  Counseling Services is a designated Safe Zone dedicated to providing all clients quality care with respect for sexual orientation and gender identity. University Housing

University Housing offers and unique and varied living experience for all SIUE students. University Housing prides itself on being a progressive department that fosters an inclusive environment for all residents.  For students who are members of the LGBT and Ally community there are a couple of housing options that may meet their needs better than traditional housing options or living off campus.
