What is St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store?

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store provides clothing, household goods, and necessities to the Illinois Metro-East area. St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is part of the Catholic Urban Programs which also operates Cosgroves Kitchen and Holy Angels Shelter.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is located at 3718 State Street in East St. Louis, Illinois. St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is part of Catholic Urban Programs which services the southern 22 Illinois counties.

What will the volunteers do?

Volunteers will assist with sorting donated items, arranging items for display, helping clients, and other duties. Occasionally, volunteers are asked to assist with Cosgroves Soup Kitchen which is also located at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.

  • Participants need to wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes.

  • Transportation will be provided.

  • Free-however, advance registration is required.

  • Sign-up sheets and further instructions are available at the Kimmel Student Involvement Center.

  • Bring a friend!
