What does it mean to be a Move-In Crew volunteer?
You would be one of hundreds of students who volunteer to help new freshman move into their residence hall. Volunteers sign up to work one or more 3 hour shifts where they help new residents move-in. This year the number of volunteers will be limited to 525 - volunteer early!
Why do I want to be a part of the Move-In Crew?
Move-In Crew volunteers move into their Fall Housing assignment early, receive a free meal, earn volunteer hours and feel good about helping new residents move-in! (Remember, you were a new resident once, too!)
Who can be part of the Move-In Crew?
This opportunity is available to all upper class SIUE students. You cannot volunteer if you are an incoming freshmen moving into Bluff, Prairie, or Woodland Halls.
When will I receive my shift assignment?
Shift assignments will be sent to your SIUE e-mail address by July 31, 2014.
What do I need to do?
Move In Crew shift assignments will go out via e-mail by July 31, 2014.
Attend mandatory Move-In Crew meeting on Wednesday, August 13th at 4:30 p.m. in the Meridian Ballroom.
Is there a deadline?
The deadline to register is July 1, 2014. However, we are only accepting the first 525 volunteers so make sure to register early. Shift assignments will be e-mailed to your SIUE e-mail account no later than July 31, 2014.
