The College and Schools

To support programs within the College and Schools, the SIUE Foundation follows a decentralized fundraising model, encouraging that gifts be designated for the College, School or program of the donor's choice.  Such gifts help these areas develop, deliver and improve high-quality programs.  Each academic area develops and maintains its own fundraising priorities while remaining flexible in working with prospective donors to develop projects of mutual interest.

College of Arts and Sciences

Gifts, either restricted or unrestricted, can provide support to the College of Arts & Sciences.  The College uses these gifts to enhance scholarships, to support student and faculty projects, to purchase lab and classroom equipment, to upgrade technology and more.  For more information, contact Craig Steiner at 618-650-5048 or by email at crstein@siue.edu.

School of Business

Private support enhances the School of Business' mission to prepare students to become business professionals and to develop ways to improve business practices.  By turning out high-quality graduates who are sought after by employers, SIUE plays a vital role in the economic success of the region.  For more information on how private support can impact the students in the School of Business, contact Sara Colvin at 618-650-2317 or by e-mail at scolvin@siue.edu.

School of Dental Medicine

The SIU School of Dental Medicine is the only dental school in Illinois outside Cook County, and the only dental school within 250 miles of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Donors and benefactors can help the School by providing gifts to funds such as the Clinic Enhancement Fund or the Development Fund, which helps the School to continue advancing general programming needs.  For more information, contact Stephen Schaus at 618-474-7271 or by e-mail at sschaus@siue.edu.

School of Education

Top fundraising priorities for the School of Education are scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, student awards, experimental research equipment, support for students to present at regional and national conferences and program and classroom support.  In addition, we also raise funds to help support our four outreach clinics: the Speech and Hearing Clinic; the Reading Center; the Adapted Physical Education Clinic and the Exercise Physiology Lab.  The School is also interested in expanding its outreach opportunities to the greater Metro-East area.  For more information, contact the Dean's Office at 618-650-3350.

School of Engineering

The School of Engineering offers many opportunities for alumni and donors to make an impact on our students.  Scholarships enable the School to attract the best and brightest students, helping SIUE maintain its designation as a premier metropolitan university.  Gifts to the School's development account allow the School to supplement its budget and provide additional opportunities which otherwise may not be available.  Gifts may also be designated to any of Engineering's academic departments and programs.  For more information, contact Karen Wicks at 618-650-5020 or by e-mail at kwicks@siue.edu.

School of Nursing

Increasing private support is an important undertaking as the School of Nursing addresses the growing shortage of nurses and nursing faculty and faces the challenges of an enrollment that is increasing up to 50% over previous years.  Priorities for the School include scholarships for students, general support to enhance programs and services for students and faculty, maintaining and updating the Simulated Learning Center for Health Sciences, and support for outreach programs and research. By meeting the future demand for nurses, the School of Nursing ensures the region’s vitality by meeting the medical needs of the people who live here. For more information, contact Patricia McDonald at 618-650-2304 or by e-mail at pmcdona@siue.edu.

School of Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy opened its doors to its first class in the fall of 2005.  Already gifts from community leaders, corporations and foundations are providing vital scholarships and support for the new School's activities.  In addition, by supporting research, donors can provide a better future for those who live in the region, making it a more vital area in which to live and work.  For more information, contact Patricia McDonald at 618-650-2304 or by e-mail at pmcdona@siue.edu.

The Graduate School

The Graduate School offers more than 30 graduate programs and helps develop new academic programs.  Donors can make an impact by giving to award endowments that support faculty research and scholarship. For more information about supporting SIUE's faculty, contact the Kyle Moore at 618-650-2714 or by e-mail at kymoore@siue.edu.
