Assistant or Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing vision and guidance within the area of Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research
  • Mentoring students, faculty and preceptors
  • Providing instruction in the professional degree program
  • Establishing a research program to collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and research staff from SIUE School of Pharmacy, SIU School of Medicine and the SIU Center for Clinical Research, as well as other local/regional institutions, to support research activities
  • Engaging in scholarly activities
  • Engaging in service (School, University, professional, community) to support the mission
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications include a pharmacy degree (R.Ph. or Pharm.D.), plus either a 2 year Fellowship, an M.S. degree, or a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy Administration or a related field (Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Health Care Systems, Decision Sciences, Population Science, Health Policy, Outcomes Research, or Health Informatics). 

Terms of Appointment
Full-time tenure- track, (twelve-month) appointment beginning July 1, 2014.  Start date may be negotiable.
