Office Support Associate

Job Description/Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the pilot plant, laboratories, and management divisions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
RESEARCH: Assist in the tracking of grant requirements and expenditures;assist in research and client records retention.

OPERATIONS:  Assist in coordinating submission requirements for maintaining facility operational permits; assist in ordering and tracking all operational expenses; assist in tracking client costs, billing, and payments.

BUSINESS ADVOCACY: Assist in tracking and forecasting all expenditures by grant/account; interfacing with the community, trade, government organizations as well as clients; retention of records and reports.

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Assist in development and maintenance of employee manual; human resources documentation; assist in coordinating tours; and coordinating travel arrangements/reimbursements.

GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES: Responsible for maintaining office supplies and equipment; maintain compliance with University and governmental policies; preparation and review of various documents and reports; coordinates with major unit-wide operations such as Human Resources, Payroll, Purchasing; responsible for bi-weekly and student employee time entry and vacation/sick leave reporting; assist in ordering and tracking expenditures for pilot plant, labs and management divisions.

SAFETY: Assist in maintaining overall facility and personnel safety/safety training records.Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school graduation or equivalent; and
  2. Any one or combination totaling eighteen (18) months from the following categories:
    (a) work experience performing routine clerical/office support work, including use of computer systems
    (b) vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures
    (c) college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related fields  
         30 semester hours = eighteen (18) months
    (d) college or university course work in any curriculum|
         48 semester hours = eighteen (18) months; and
  3. Ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 40 w.p.m.

$1,967 per month
