The Emeriti Faculty Association is an Association for the SIUE emeriti faculty. Founded in 2013, it provides a means for the emeriti faculty and their spouses/partners to remain active participants in the University community and to communicate with each other and with the University. It will:
The Emeriti Faculty Association and the Faculty Senate are pleased to request proposals from SIUE tenure and tenure-track faculty for projects that strengthen the academic quality of programs and that enhance the reputation of the University. The deadline for proposals is March 16, 2015. Application guidelines are available here.
Eligible activities include but are not limited to the following:
--Departmental colloquia that involve recognized outside experts
--Curricular development (disciplinary or interdisciplinary)
--Faculty exchanges, including international exchanges
Ineligible Activities include activities supported elsewhere in the University, such as research, development of teaching skills, and individual professional development.
In mid-April, the Emeriti Faculty Association will host a reception for the emeriti faculty, spouses, and guests. The reception will give emeriti faculty an opportunity to see friends, meet colleagues, and renew acquaintances.
The day, time, and location of the reception in April will soon be announced.
