She received her master's and bachelor degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and an associate degree in Human Services from Ohio University. Faustina teaches courses such as International Health, Consumer Health Literacy, Public Health, Healthful Living, Environmental Health, and Foundations in Health Education.

She also worked with Health Recovery Services (Ohio) in different capacities.
Faustina is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Health Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her research interest focuses on international, women, and children's health. She enjoys helping women and children with their health needs. Her goal is to contribute towards building a healthy global community.
Faustina has a passion for exposing students to global health issues. Consequently, she introduced an international health course into the Health Education curriculum and also developed and currently leads a Travel Study summer program to Ghana for students from the colleges of Education, Nursing, and the Arts & Sciences. The Travel Study Program provides students with an engaging, collaborative, hands-on approach to understanding and investigating health-related issues in developing societies. It also exposes students to culturally and academically enriching international experiences and seeks to establish long term relationships with universities in Ghana.
