SIUE Construction Leadership Institute alumni complete an annual service project where they work with the organizers of the Building Futures program to introduce 30 middle school students from St. Louis public, charter, and parochial schools to the joy of making projects with their hands.  The program organizers use the rigorous problem solving skills needed to design projects, and teach the manual skills needed to build those projects, to help economically under-privileged young people develop intellectually, physically, and emotionally for success in their future working lives.   CLI alumni work with the students to help them in both the design and build stages of making their ideas become a reality.
