|Chinese Camps Description||In the Chinese Summer Camp, students will engage in a wide range of exciting learning and recreational activities that will develop their communication skills in Chinese. They will be able to ask and answer questions, learn basic vocabulary, and comprehend spoken Chinese through context about everyday topics. We will emphasize the communicative and interactive approach to the teaching of foreign languages.
Students will be immersed in the culture of China by making a variety of different crafts. Students will learn about Chinese history, art, and its culture.

|Healthcare Diversity Camp Description||Students selected will spend 5 days at the SIUE Schools of Pharmacy, Nursing and Dental Medicine, learning about each profession and developing skills that will be useful to them in becoming a successful college student. The program is open to minority rising sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in a Madison, St. Clair or St. Louis County high school. Participants will spend 4 evenings in SIUE Student Housing, interacting with other participants, college students and faculty members. The program is free of charge to participants.|

The 33rd annual SIUE Summer Writing Day Camp is an attractive opportunity for youths ages 8 to 18 who wish to combine learning with recreation. Presented through the Department of English Language and Literature, the Writing Day Camp offers intensive and practical development in basic writing skills in combination with a full and vigorous recreational program.
Students are grouped according to their grade level in school, with groups averaging about 12 students each. Total enrollment is limited to 78 student-campers per session. The camp director is assisted by a staff comprising area elementary and secondary school and University teachers and recreational counselors. The adult:student ratio in the Writing Camp is about 1 to 8.

|Description||A 5-day technique/team camp and/or a 10-day intensive training camp. You will be coached by SIUE wrestling Coaches, current wrestlers as well as clinicians. Last year’s camps featured 4-time NCAA Champion Kyle Dake and 2-time NCAA Champion Teyon Ware.|
