ENRICH Course Enhancement Grants support activities that complement the course's learning objectives. They are intended to encourage interaction among students, faculty, and other disciplinary experts, and to help faculty and students take advantage of resources in the larger community. Events funded by these grants could include museum visits, music and theater performances, lectures, transportation to field experiences, cultural dinners, and other creative activities designed to foster dialogue inside and outside the classroom. Funding is limited to one event per course.
Please note that food expenses are typically not covered by the grant if food is not the primary focus. For instance, a demonstration of traditional Thai cooking methods followed by a discussion of meals and family traditions in Thai culture would be appropriate. A museum visit that includes lunch afterwards is not the intended purpose of the grant; however, the cost of museum admission and transportation would be appropriate expenses.
Each proposal will be evaluated individually, and those that demonstrate cost sharing will be considered favorably. Partial funding may be awarded depending on amount requested and number of students who will benefit. Full time and part time faculty are eligible to apply.
