Welcome from the Dean of Students. My role is to serve as an advocate for students as well as a resource. Many times you may not know where to find the answer to a question, or where to go to address a problem or concern. This office is a great place to start.
I’d like to call your attention to the “Cougar Creed”. This document is the result of lots of discussion on campus…and was created by a group of students, faculty and staff. Please read it carefully; it is a statement how we, as members of the University community, will respect one another and describes how each of us plays a role in creating a positive environment for living and learning.
It is often said that “you get out of it, what you put into it.” Give your SIUE education your all! I look forward to meeting you and seeing you on campus.
