CATCH THE COUGAR SPIRIT!

Many thanks to our spirited campus community for showing their true colors (red and black, of course) on Tuesday, November 13, for our 3rd annual Catch the Cougar Spirit!  Ten departments took on the challenge to wear SIUE attire, decorate their offices, and take a group photo.  Chancellor Furst-Bowe, staff from Intercollegiate Athletics, and Eddie the Cougar mascot visited that afternoon but had a hard time choosing a winner...

So we decided to have TWO winners -- "Most Spirited Department" and "Best Cougar Spirit Photo".  We are thrilled to announce that  Kinesiology and Health Education was voted Most Spirited Department for their extraordinary efforts the second year in a row.  Their enthusiastic participation included confetti, streamers, the SIUE fight song playing...and a Star Wars/Chariots of Fire themed video to be posted later...  They will receive a catered lunch courtesy of Intercollegiate Athletics.  Congratulations!

The photo contest created some friendly competition among participants...and in order to be objective, we are asking the campus community to pick the winner of the "Best Cougar Spirit Photo".  Please vote for your favorite by Wednesday, November 21 (one vote per person, please...faculty/staff/students only).  Staff in the winning photo will receive t-shirts courtesy of the Office of Student Affairs.
