Nobby graduation

We challenge our students to excel both inside and outside of the classroom. A simple formula for success...
4-3-2-1...helps ensure this:

  • graduate in four (4) years;
  • maintain at least a 3.00 (3) grade point average;Promising place to work in student affairs 2015
  • spend at least two (2) hours of prep time for every credit hour enrolled;
  • engage in one (1) campus or civic activity.

Our faculty and staff work in collaborative ways to develop a "Students First" learning community that is supportive, engaging, and responsive to the unique needs of our students.

Our students are more than just students…they are engaged leaders in over 200 student organizations…they study abroad…they contribute to a vibrant campus life…their service enriches the local and global communities…they are found on the intramural fields…they collaborate on research projects with faculty. They tell the Cougar story.

  • We prepare our students to become capable leaders of the future through the Kimmel Student Involvement Center…
  • Our residential students shape living-learning communities in our University Housing facilities…
  • The Career Development Center helps students transition from university life to the world-of-work...
  • Our Morris University Center provides students with a place to gather
  • The Early Childhood Center shapes the minds of the young
  • Opportunities to participate in recreational fitness and competitive sports as well as outdoor activities are provided by the Campus Recreation...
  • Staff in Disability Support Services collaborate with faculty to accommodate students with disabilities and maximize success…
  • The health and well being of our students is cared for by our dynamic team in Health and Counseling Services…
  • Student Opportunities for Academic Results is dedicated to helping underrepresented students excel in their educational experience...
  • Promoting integrity and personal responsibility to assure a safe and comfortable campus is entrusted to the Dean of Students.

SIUE is a special place where students play an active role in our inclusive communities that foster growth, promote learning, and encourage lasting friendships. It is our hope that this web site is a useful tool to access essential resources that support students' aspirations, dreams, and goals.

Best Wishes,
