ROTC at SIUESTX Lane

SIUE boasts one of the largest campuses by land area in the nation.  Large portions of this real estate contain fields, trails, and wooded terrain, making it the ideal training ground for a future Army leader.

Browse the links on this page to learn more about the Army ROTC program at SIUE.  If you would like to visit the ROTC office, we're located on the 3rd floor of Founder's Hall, room 3106.

Scholarships and Incentives

Army ROTC can help pay for your tuition and/or room and board through a variety of financial opportunities including Illinois State Scholarships, Federal Scholarships, Army National Guard or Army Reserve benefits, and foreign language incentives.

Living expenses

Federal Army ROTC scholarships also provide a monthly living allowance (stipend) during the school year. The stipend amount you receive varies depending on your level in the Army ROTC curriculum:

    1st year $300 per month

    2nd year $350 per month

    3rd year $450 per month

    4th year $500 per month

This stipend (living allowance) is also provided to all contracted non-scholarship Cadets enrolled in the Army ROTC.

Army Schools and Additional Training

ROTC cadets also receive opportunities to attend Army schools such as Airborne and Air Assault and participate in additional training such as Cadet Field Training at West Point.  These are unique opportunities awarded to students based upon merit and are contingent upon slots assigned to the ROTC program.
