The Graduate School supports a graduate faculty committed to high-caliber research and to a teacher-scholar model recognizing the interdependence of frontline scholarship and teaching. SIUE ranks among the highest of its Illinois Board of Higher Education peers in total research and development expenditures, according to the National Science Foundation.
Through support and services provided by its Office of Research and Projects (ORP), the Graduate School raises the visibility of research at SIUE. Research development support and services provided by the ORP facilitate the SIUE faculty’s pursuit of impactful scholarship and creative activities.
By preparing the next generation of leaders in a knowledge-based economy, SIUE’s Graduate School fulfills the region’s demand for highly trained professionals. Graduate School offerings include arts and sciences, business, dental medicine, education, engineering, nursing, pharmacy and interdisciplinary opportunities.
