Our chief goal at the
Center for Spirituality & Sustainability is to assist students, faculty and staff who are seeking to develop or enrich their spiritual lives. Ministers help in this capacity through classes and activities of their various denominations, pastoral counseling, listening sessions, individual and group prayer and the connection of individuals with additional resources on and off the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
The center's staff seeks to promote faith sharing among all those on campus who are attempting to integrate a relationship with a Higher Power and their daily life. Through this blending of several long-standing religious traditions, the staff hopes an inter- faith community will develop to encourage, inspire and challenge all participants, as well as anyone at SIUE who is asking questions about the ultimate meaning and purpose of life.
