ACADEMIC CALENDAR-SPRING 2008

September 2007	1-3	Labor Day Weekend; University Closed
October 2007	1	Undergraduate and Graduate applicants from abroad who require F-1 Visas and are seeking admission in the Summer Semester must have their file information complete no later then October 1, 2007.
	15	Priority web registration begins for undergraduate students who have completed 90 or more earned hours and all graduate students.
	22	Web registration begins for undergraduate students who have completed 60 or more earned hours.
	29	Web registration begins for undergraduate students who have completed 30 or more earned hours.
November 2007	1	Undergraduate freshman Application Deadline
	5	Web registration opens for all remaining undergraduate students and visiting students.
	15	International in-country undergraduate and graduate application deadline.
December 2007	14	Graduate admissions application file completion deadline. Undergraduate (non-freshman) application deadline.
		*Deadline for first Spring installment payment*. The Spring 2008 registrations of students who have not paid the first installment or received a financial aid cancellation waiver will be cancelled.
December 24, 2007- January 1, 2008		University Closed
January 2008	7-12	International student registration week.
	14	Weekday and evening classes begin. Late registration begins, including non-refundable $25 late registration fee. Deadline for Spring 2008 graduation applicants.
	18	Last day to file Directory Hold information in the Service Center.
	19	Weekend Classes begin
	21	Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, University Closed.
	25	Last day to add a class without a permit. Last day to drop or withdraw without receiving a grade. Last day for full refund of tuition and fees. Last day to pay tuition and fees for students registering after December 14.
		INDIVIDUAL CLASSES DROPPED AFTER JANUARY 25 WILL NOT REDUCE OR CANCEL TUITION AND FEES LIABILITY.
February 2008	1	Last day for graduate students to change audit/credit status.
	8	Last day to file for reinstatement of classes Last day for partial refund when withdrawing from all classes. Refunds will not be given after this date.
	9-10	Weekend classes not in session unless otherwise specified.
	22	*Deadline for second Spring installment due.*
	22	Last day for undergraduate students to change Audit/Credit status.
	25	Last day to submit Residency Appeals for Spring 2008
	28	Last day for Suspension Appeals for Summer '08 reinstatement.
March 2008	7	Last day to change Pass/No Credit status.
	10-16	Spring Break; classes not in session.
	14	*Deadline for Third Spring Installment*
	15-16	Weekend classes not in session unless otherwise specified.
	22-23	Easter Holiday. Weekend classes not in session unless otherwise specified.
	28	Last day to withdraw from a class without permission of adviser and instructor
April 2008	11	Final payment deadline for Spring Semester due.
	18	Last day to withdraw from a class or from school with permission of adviser and instructor.
May 2008	1	New freshman admission application deadline for Fall 2008.
	2	Last day for submission of a thesis draft to Graduate Records for graduate students. Please submit in the Service Center, Rendleman Hall 1309.
	3	Weekend Final Exams
	3-9	Final examinations, weekday and evening classes.
	10	Spring Commencement
		Textbook return deadline, 5:00 p.m. (subject to change)
