Graduate programs must be completed within a specified time period. In general, master's degree and certificate programs must be complete within six years, and specialist programs must be completed within seven years. If your program requires completion earlier than the general graduate policy, the information will be listed in the program description in Chapter 2 of the Graduate Catalog.
If your program's requirements have changed since you last attended, you may be eligible to complete the requirements in effect when you began the program.
To request an exception to the policy for additional time for degree completion, you must complete a Graduate Student Request form and submit it to your advisor.
