Suspension Appeal for Reinstatement Form Instructions

If you have been placed on Academic Suspension, you are ineligible to attend SIUE for a waiting period of at least one term. After at least one term on Academic Suspension, you may petition the Suspension Appeals Committee to reenroll. Reinstatement is not automatic. It is dependent on Committee review of a number of factors. You must complete an Appeal for Reinstatement for which is available below and attached a separate page with typed responses to Items 5a to 5e. The completed form with attached responses to Items 5a to 5e must be received by the Suspension Appeals Committee (see address below) by the seventh Thursday of the term preceding the one for which you are seeking reinstatement. Should you have any questions regarding your current academic standing, you may contact your academic counselor or faculty adviser.

THE APPEALS COMMITTEE REVIEWS APPEALS FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM THE UNIVERSITY FOR ONE OR TWO SEMESTERS.

IF YOU HAVE NOT ATTENDED CLASSES FOR AT LEAST THREE (3) SEMESTERS, YOU MUST REAPPLY TO THE UNIVERSITY.
